This little piggy had delusions he was Austrian. The sad fact being there are no pigs in Austria the story is bound in nazi legend and ties. So far this year, we have been on Channel M, BBC Radio One on Steve Lamacq's In New Music We Trust, Jean Pierre Sablier's show on Virgin Radio France, France 5 (French National TV channel), BBC 6music (Tom Robinson updated his Twitter with… - The Silk Pigs - not normally a huge fan of rock bands but this has fire, passion and unexpected harmony) and then promptly opened his show with our track 'In Tents Humming'. He has also played us again a second week running... Nice... We have also just had our American radio debut on WRIR Fm in Virgina, thanks to the Dj Gene Pembleton there who played 'Somewhere something'. Mint!!!!
We have also (last year) had the honour of being Vince Powers Guests at Benicassim in 2008 and this year been his guests again at Hop Farm Festival. We have also got a few nice residencies... Fluid - Live Lounge (thanks to Ian the legend), The Pilgrim in Liverpool and The Boulevard in Wigan.
Thanks to our good buzzin times at The Pilgrim, Rash Records (who run the Electric Church night) have kindly offered to help release our first EP... Watch this space. Rash are a not for profit label who don't have contracts, they just have a passion for music and unbounding support for it. Pete from the label also was responsible for getting us on Steve Lamacq's show. Rory from the label is a proper legend, a real supporter and tireless in his championing our cause. We loves him and them we do!
