About THE SiMPLE PLEASURES (New Song)

THE SiMPLE PLEASURES are formed formed from ex-members of @tomika with the addition of a new guitarist in Nick Evans.

Some photos form our recent gig @ THE BOiLEROOM, Guiildford on 5th May 2007. Photos: Andy Allum

Live version of 'Art Mimics Tradegy' from THE BOiLEROOM gig on 5th May:

Live version of 'Master of None' from THE BOiLEROOM gig on 5th May:

“Intelligent lyrics and soaring guitar melodies combine with thunderous bass lines and snarling vocals, delivering a dynamic sonic soundscape. The intensity of the set is impressive from the word go, with the influences being so many and varied. These guys have a lot of gigging experience between them and it shows – they pull the audience along and never let go. With the light and dark ranging all the way between Snow Patrol and the Deftones, The Simple Pleasures do not fail to impress”
[Mr Bailey – Head Office].

Having spent the most part of 2005 writing new material The Simple Pleasures entered the studio to record four songs (one of which is too big to upload to myspace).

Here are some photos we've been messing about with...

Alright boys,

In California, you can get Simple Pleasures laundry detergent. Your marketing will stop at nothing it seems.

All good out here, but running outta cash, so looks like I'll be back in Blighty soon.

Which, in many ways, is gay.

Blag Promotions, in conjunction with The Boileroom loudly present a fantastic showcase of the best bands from the Surrey/Hants area. The bands playing the showcase are:

The Simple Pleasures: The Aldershot four piece were formed from the ashes of the much missed @tomika. Mixing punchy guitars and thundering basslines, with lovely in-your-face growley vocals.
Visit The Simple Pleasures on Myspace here

Satellite State: The Guildford based five piece play heartfelt tunes that are guaranteed to move you. Debut single is due for release summer 2007. 'Brilliant stuff' - Huw Stephens (Radio 1)

Toluene: Yateley's very own Terry Abbott - former front man of local/national heroes Vex Red and later Septembre. Toluene is his brand new musical project and is a fantastic one man act. Toluene mix keyboards and attitude and are 100% innovative.
