Combining three guitars with buoyant three-part harmony, The Singing Flowers harken back to the days before gene-spliced cultivar hybridization. The trio formed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the summer of 2001, coincident with the country's slide into recession and eventual war, with the idea of singing only about flowers. Cover songs were discussed, but The Singing Flowers preferred to plumb the rich botanical realm for subject matter all their own.
