    A powerful mixture between progressive virtuosity and symphonic finesse: that's probably the best way to describe Siren's Cry's music. It all started when Phil and Katie teamed up to create something which on one side was melodic and accessible and on the other hand showed complexity without sacrificing energy and power. Joined by Michael on keys and Frederic on drums a strong team was assembled and in 2010 Sören completed the formation on bass. After recording their demo "Draconian Spectrum" in 2008, the band started gathering musical material for the first album "Scattered Horizons". The concept consisted of progressive elements combined with classical melodic influences and heavy pounding riffs and was ready to be produced. During the following months, Sirens Cry performed live in Germany and Austria together with Rhapsody of Fire, Victor Smolski and Peavey Wagner (members of Rage), Serenity, in Legend, and Sebastien. "Scattered Horizons" will be released in 2012.

    Our Music is influenced by Bands like Symphony X and DreamTheater. Just take a look at our friends and you know what sort of music we are in to!....Every band member brings in his/her own influence and style so it's kinda hard to say where the major influence lies. But sure is that a life changeing event was when Kate, the two Mikes, Sören and Phil first heard bands like DT and Symphony X....."Every piece of music I ever heard has influenced me and gave me a fresh perspetive as on how to look on songs. Listening to Progbands like DT and SYX has changed my way of thinking and my concept of music. It is not enough to just simply make music - one has to create feeling and emotion. I like to refer to it as painting pictures in one's head with the music..." says Phil.
