"il soro sound e soprendente come i rimbalzi del pallone da rugby."
The Situations all got together at school in 2002 evolving from a small-time posse in Rosehill, South Auckland. Thanks to some well-placed blind eyes, The Situations scored a bunch of gear on long term loan from their school. Glen was the only one of them who was even in the department, and with a hefty 32% in School Certificate, it could be argued that the gear was the entire motivation behind his enrolling in the first place. Not the music didn't course through him, I mean, he had just started one of the best pop-rock bands to never be allowed to surface during the dub years of the early-mid 2000's, but who finally got their act sorted enough, and some slight recognition of their existence, in the post-A LOW HUM universe in 2006 with their infectious single 'Sister' getting b-net airplay and hype for their 2006 album Situations Get the Basics.
New Zealand just isn't enough, and The Situations have toured Australia with the White Stripes, released their debut album in Europe and have just returned to Aotearoa after playing outstanding shows across Europe, taking in, England, Germany, Holland, Belgium, and Italy, totalling 25 shows in 23 days. They will return to Europe later in 2008/early 2009, taking their second album back to European fans, this time including France, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden and Poland. And in the middle of all of this they find time to be the hand-picked band for one-time Dunedin resident and crazed pop genius Bob Cardy's Shaft project, as well as backing New Zealand Rock n Roll legend Ray Columbus at the Wild Things show late last year, and in support of the Dirtbombs in '08. With album number two on the way the boys are touring New Zealand through July before coming back to South Auckland to wrap things up, get the new record out and head back to Europe.

Yeah just school. Just got one more lecture and an exam and then I can graduate!!! Yus! But otherwise I lead a pretty quiet life hanging up north at my olds reading books. Trying to find a good fulltime job is like pulling teeth but I'm sure I'll find something eventually.
Sorry to hear about the Premiership... I'm sure there were tears!
I really miss seeing you boys! I think I have only seen you and Koobs once since you boys came back from Europe! What a terrible friend! I'll try to come to the Whammy Bar!
