The Ska Bar is a monthly event currently held at The Arches on Pitt St, Barnsley (South Yorks). Since restarting this year, Bands already to grace the stage have been Zen Baseballbat (moon ska soulsters), Three Minute Warning (2tone/punk welshies - fresh from the Do the Dog house), Weeble (amazing ska/punk from Nottingham) and several apearances from Barnsley's own Catch-it Kebabs and Skinboat.
Please tell your freinds about the Ska-bar but more importantly come down and support the scene.

Catch-it Kebabs will have been gigging together for 7 years on the 7th of june, and to celebrate we have invited 2 ace bands over to Barnsley to join us on stage at the Arches on Pitt St.
Here's the bill.......... doors open at 8pm, Fat Phace (Amazingly tight and well harmonized Doo-Wop Punk from Liverpool) 8. 30pm, Jimmy The Squirrel (DoThe Dog's recent signing, Fantastic Acoustic Roots Ska) 9.30.
Then When everyones just about drunk enough we'll we be wobbling on to the stage for a bit of rampant Swing-Core!
We are happy to announce that the latest addition to the Do The Dog Music stable of bands is fast rising Nottingham based outfit Jimmy The Squirrel!
Together sine 2005, this 5 piece crew kick out a raw & rootsy, stripped down ska/reggae vibe in the vein of Chris Murray, Bedouin Soundclash & The King Blues.
Their highly infectious sound boasts heartfelt, soulful vocal harmonies underpinned by killer old school keyboard melodies & spaghetti westernesque guitar licks!
Due out soon on Do The Dog Music is Jimmy The Squirrel’s debut 4 song self titled CD EP.
