The Skinks are a Rock Band from the Sheffield area. Formed in 1998, The Skinks have evolved over the years into a four piece writing, recording and performing their own material.
They have self produced a 20 track album and three demos. Are currently in the studio working on their follow up LP and gigging venues around South Yorkshire.
Releases
In early 2005 The Skinks released a demo entitled ‘Listen to This...’ The demo contained six songs.
‘Listen to This....' was followed in late November 2005 by The Skinks 1st album entitled ‘Music for the Mad’. This album contains 20 tracks and is the result of a year and a half of writing and recording by the band.
The Skinks followed up 'Music for the Mad' with their 5 track demo 'Off My Head'
The Skinks then brought you their 3 track demo 'Sex Panther'. This is their first CD featuring Crash on drums! All the songs on Sex Panther feature on their new album 'Time Stands Still'.
And finally, in July 2009, after 12 months of recording, The Skinks new album 'Time Stands Still' is now finished! The album contains 12 songs. you can listen to a selection on this page. Available on Itunes, Amazon and all good online mp3 music stores
