The Skins are a three piece alternative rock band who are based
in Dublin.The band are Aaron Gaffey on guitar/vocals, Keith O'
Neill on bass and Richie Mason on drums. The band formed in the
Ballyfermot Rock School in 2004. We mostly played gigs around Dublin, Kilkenny, Wexford, Waterford and Cork.Our music is riff based alternative stoner
rock, with a mixture of time signatures.
At the moment we are currently recording out EP,in a secret location in the wilds of kilkenny for launch early in the new year.title yet to be established.The drum tracks for 15 songs were recorded in Sandfire Studios in Wexford, between April and June of this year.Guitar bass and vocals recorded by DL AUDIO. We took a break from gigging for the summer while our drummer richie was away traveling in the far east, but he has returned safely (and relatively disease free) to the promise land and now mayhem can resume. Oh it will be fun!! gig dates to be announced,booking in process.

Well things in the 9Lies camp are upto the 9's, so I will make this a quick one to let you know that the first ever 9Lies all digital single release 'Touch the Sky' will be available On Monday (28th).
We are totaly excited as it is not only our first official single but our first ever release since signing with Evil Twin Records, and whats more, its a secret!
There will be no whistles and bells or mad media airplay, because we havent actually told anyone apart from your good selves! Crazy?? Well its a little cog in a bigger wheel! All will become clear in the months to come, and your apart of it.
