Djing for over fifteen years now, SKYHI has become a very familiar face in the industry as well as it's pioneers. At his start, SKYHI performed under a local promotion company Sundance Productions djing events in Louisiana and Texas. Through the early years he was fortunate to share the stage with some of the biggest djs and acts in the business. These early experiences provided SKYHI with the desire to dedicate himself to music and all that it is worth. By doing so he has held residencies at some of the hottest dance clubs in the south. From Club Firestone in Lafayette, La. to his current residency "Ampersand" in New Orleans, which received the Best Dance Club DJs award by CitySearch and was voted one of the top 100 clubs in the nation by Nightclub & Bar magazine. (www.clubampersand.com) has been a very interesting, yet fortunate journey. Now writing and producing in these later years, he intends to give back to the industry which he feels has given him so much, as well as expand himself as an artist.
~"SKYHI"~ Quote:
"I believe life has many things to offer from many different aspects. At the same time, I have experienced a great deal in the past making me a very worldly person. I would like to think this is a good thing, resulting in my positive attitude towards life and my surroundings. I spend most of my time producing high-energy dance music, although I enjoy and respect all genres. Music is a huge part of my life, as it is my life! I have been fortunate enough to become a full-time writer and producer which has been a true blessing and take no part of it for granted. I express a lot through music, which enables me to stay somewhat sane. I would like to think everyone eventually finds that one thing that lets them express themselves in such a manner. If you have not, stay true to yourself and what you believe in and it will surface. I thank you with all sincerity for your support and remember, stay true to yourself and your beliefs as the rest will fall into place!"
