We're Sick City Club. We are from brum. We make music that you can sing along and sometimes laugh/dance/cry to, and are lucky enough to have shared the stage with the likes of Kano, Wiley, Zane Lowe, Little Man Tate, Underground Heroes, Robots in Disguise and The Troubadours. That was pretty cool.
RADIO 1 Just named us in their top 30 bands to watch out for in 2009. mint.
We also like recording our music, and we've just recorded our debut album with Gavin Monaghan, who has of late been key in the careers of Editors, The Twang, Nizlopi and has also sprinkled his magic on the likes of Kings Of Leon, Robert Plant, The Fugees and The Smiths. It has a bit of everything on it because we don't want every song to sound the same and we hope you appreciate that. Some of it will be up here soon.
"Its Awesome, been on in the office all week" - Nick Grimshaw, BBC Radio 1
"if they want, these boys could be the mainstream darlings of the future"...The Beat Surrender
"Great Set...(Let Go), fucking tune"... Matty Clinton, The Twang
"Most bands bring me two hit records, you've brought me 5. That Doesn't happen often"...Gavin Monaghan, Producer of Editors/The Twang/Kings Of Leon
"Download Thought She Was Leaving." Artrocker
Both Sign of the Times and Anarchy show the band to be a high energetic feral indie rock band with huge punchy riffs, machine gun beats and infectious attitude fuelled vocals. As introductions go this is pretty damn impressive, Sick City Club seem to have it all, catchy songs, abbrassive guitars and shed loads of attitude. 9/10 - Rhythm + Booze
"A very tasty debut double 'A' release from Birmingham alt/indie/rocksters Sick City Club - an energetic bombardment of super-slick indie rock with plenty of 'pop' persuasion packing a totally full-on adrenalin rush" - Toxic Pete
"Melodic Brit-Rock with a social conscience, hints of Smashing Pumpkins & some fine slap bass drives it all on home" - Subba Culture
"Sign Of The Times, Sound Of The Future" - Monochrome Museum
"The Song Maximo Park wish they'd written" - Anonymous Industry insider

Redland Promotions just basicly took the piss as much as they could untill we snapped. Got free recording though, so not too bad, but were away to re-master it soon as we kinda just threw it together to see the reaction.
