A girl playing a piano and singing. Oh, and cats, don't forget the cats.
BREAKING NEWS: My collaboration with Canadian trip-hop artist, The Silk Demise, has just produced a complete album. What started out 6 years ago as a fun little home studio internet project, in which I recorded vocals over his music tracks, has transformed itself into something bigger than we both could have imagined - all without ever having met in person. Please visit his website for previews of the songs and details on how to order. (You can also listen to complete versions of a couple songs on his myspace page - see the link in my top 10.)

As The Sleeper's Opera, I like playing music that challenges the ear, but also has a more traditional, comfortable feel to it. Kind of like being wrapped in a down quilt by a warm fire in your childhood home while your parents scream and curse at each other in the background.
The songs you are listening to above are from my very first lo-fi album, which was recorded entirely by myself on my home computer over a 3-year stretch of insomniatic late night creative bursts. Click here to see the entire track listing with lyrics.
If you are interested in purchasing a personally handmade CD, I am selling them on my web site for just $9.00 each, shipping included. Click the button below to take advantage of this special offer, and to support this completely independent artist.
(If you don't want to use PayPal, send me an e-mail for alternate arrangements.)
wow, these songs are hauntingly beautiful! good work. I hope it all goes well for you.
Here's a flyer for a show we're playing wednesday with some other fine bands. (I'm especially impressed with master slash slave from SF... check out the songs on their myspace profile if you get a chance, really cool stuff...)
