..an old acoustic guitar played, bowed, looped, beaten, while singing, speaking, shouting, and stamping feet...

The Sliding Rule has found itself playing in the company of great and fine peoples like the marvellous Ed Harcourt, Viking Moses, The Magic Numbers, Tenebrous, Sam Isaac, Gannets, Duke Garwood, Thee More Shallows, Kid Harpoon, Audrey, Val Partha Vogelbacher...playing at places like Secret Garden Party, Glastonbury, End of the Road Festival, The Big Green Gathering, Whitechapel Gallery, RampArt Gallery...and particularly enjoying the noise-drone-art collabrations put together by Kevin Quigley.

There is a Split 7" out on Ugly Nephew Records with the Zetland players, featuring an old song, DC13, uncovered in the old recesses of a dusty drawer from a 4-track cassette, with the cobwebs blown off and some memories reborn. You can hear it on the myspace...

We’ve got a rosette for best zombie in show, beer and food from the nice folks at Jam Street and noise from Stumblefunk. Off Ground Touch	Mar 14 2007 10:45 AM We love most things that slide, apart from the ridiculous form of aerobics as attemped to have been absorbed into the nations keep-fit psyche by reebok in the late 90's. however, slides, slide guitar, photo slides, and most importantly- THE SLIDING RULE, all are fantastic things. I think it is also a good thing to leave out sliding doors starring a young miss gwenyth paltrow too!
