| About The Smoking Lounge |
The Smoking Lounge formed as a side project, comprised of most of the members of the Alice In Chains tribute act, "Jar Of Flies." Fronted by Jonny Smokes on guitar and vocals, with JT Phillips on guitar and Daryl Williams on drums, the group was initially an acoustic trio. After playing their first few shows during the fall of 2006, Shannon Sharp approached the band and offered to play bass, and soon after, joined Jar Of Flies as well. With a full lineup, the group decided to plug in and play electrically whenever possible, and quickly started gaining momentum in the Seattle/Tacoma music scene, captivating new fans with every energetic performance.
Crowds are always happy to discover that The Smoking Lounge plays the best party music from nearly every style and genre to evolve over the last 50 years, all of it with skill and enthusiasm. Always receptive to fellow musicians and fans alike, the group often has special guests sing and play along, and happily delivers song requests whenever possible. And if we don’t know your favorite song yet, write it down or email us, because we are learning new tunes every week!
As the party continues to grow, The Smoking Lounge keeps getting around the Puget Sound and Pacific Northwest, playing from Bellingham WA to Portland OR, and everywhere in between. Ask for us at your favorite nightclub! If we don’t play there yet, have them contact us, because we love to travel to new places. If you need a top notch live band for a corporate event, wedding or private gathering, send us a message and we’d be happy to kick your party into high gear!
