SMOOTH MONEY GESTURE LIVE at DESERT ROCKS MAY 25, 2008
Arriving on a shred of light, beamed from the depths of space, Smooth Money Gesture first descended on Planet Earth in the spring of 2005. First landing in Girdwood, Alaska, they traveled the Northern boundaries of the planet trying to find a way to translate and share their message. They searched for a universal key in hope of uniting all beings throughout the universe.
Their project was experimental, considered top secret back home, and known only by rumors. Assignment SCU2287's details were simple. All variables had to be taken advantage of. All varieties of human music were to be used. Thus, rock and roll was blended with funk, blues, reggae, bluegrass, ethnic and electronic styles. After much experimentation, they had what they thought was at least a major part of the key, a high-energy psychedelic groove rock with both planned and improvisational moments, lyrical and instrumental sections that transcend the boundaries of reality, but still reflect the truths about this strange planet.
Now possessing this vital data, Smooth Money Gesture traveled on. Colorado would be their next stop, and base of operations. Being in a more central location, Smooth Money Gesture would be able to share their music many more people. This would also increase the possibility of finding the rest of the key, but time is running out. Earth is in constant danger.
Currently the band can been seen all over Colorado and it's surrounding states, at venues such as Boulder's Fox Theater, The Aggie Theater in Fort Collins, The Hog Wallow in Salt Lake City, and many others. Plans are being made to take the experiment even further, musically and geographically. So look for The Smooth Money Gesture to be landing in a town near you.
Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a lovely time! All is well here although I am having trouble regaining brain cells after three days at Red Rocks! Dan, you have always looked great in patchwork!
