In 1956 a horrible secret dies with two students, a practical joke gone wrong, as the gym goes up in flames during the school's annual Sock Hop.
For 30 years, Grapevine High School has kept its secrets. The truth about the tragic fire. Young Sam is a bright, homely girl, just keeping to herself, when she is befriended by Brad, the hot jock of the school. Sam is suspicious, when Brad's ex-girlfriend, the popular rich girl, Darla asks Sam to join them at the first High School Dance since 1956, entitle ‘The Soc Hop’. With much support by her brother Rob, Sam decides to go, regardless of her mother's warnings.
The School’s 1950's theme Dance brings all the memories of the era back. From poodle skirts, pompadours, to a cruel practical joke and tragic deaths, as one by one Darla's friends are being taken out, a horrific end to what should be a magical night.
