The Sociables have been voted the best southen rock band in the Midwest area from W.A.M.I. and all other local agents in the WI. area They were established in 1991 and since their formation they have been playing a variety of Southern Rock music throughout Wisconsin. Their music repertoire includes Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, the Allman Brothers, the Marshall Tucker Band, and various other Southern Rock artists. Their music draws a devoted following. The players in The Sociables have an uncanny ability to relate to those who know and love this style of music. They are especially loved within the biker community. As the bike community continues to grow so does the Sociables following! The Sociables have opened for Molly Hatchet, REO Speedwagon, Foghat, Marshall Tucker Band Many times , and George Thorogood, Kansas ,CCR,Dickie Betts Band, plus many more. The Sociables have played for nearly every bike rally in the Milwaukee area since their formation. They regularly work with the many Harley-Davidson dealerships in the area. They have played Summerfest Fourteen out the last Fifteen years. In addition, The Sociables have been nominated for the WAMI “Top Cover Rock Band” category numerous times.
The group strives to be a Southern Rock powerhouse. This powerhouse has gained the respect of the artists who made this music popular. As The VanZant Brothers from numerous southern rock bands including Lynyrd Skynyrd & Jimmy VanZant Band , Also Bobby Ingham & Phil McCormick from Molly Hatchet stated, “If it wasn’t for bands like the Sociables our music may not be in such a demand in the Milwaukee area " . Doug Grey from The Marshall Tucker Band has been our friend for a long time, He Also provided positive comments on the band. Most of the National Acts always wonder why The Sociables band is not out nationally .
The Sociables are made up of the bluesy, soulful vocal style of Mickey Doll with a backing by the duel lead guitar work of Tom Wachs & Krowbar This is augmented by the blistering Hammond B-3 organ, piano, and synth work of Michael Pyne. The rhythm section of Lars Hansen's intense drumming and Craig Larson’s rock-solid bass grooves fuel the band to create a unique sound. It is easy to see they are totally in their element.

Hey there C-Note and everyone! Steve and I miss seeing and hearing ya guys play. Might make it to Beloit Riverfest, not for sure on that yet as I have to talk him into it! LOL We would love to see you at the opening of the Museum (We have already seen it since he works for Mortenson) but if all else fails we WILL be at State Fair to "party" with ya guys!!
