The Socials are an exciting, enthusiastic and talented band from the Midlands. Their up-beat alternative indie style encapsulates a vast array of influences ranging from The Beatles to Babyshambles and Zero 7 to Kings of Leon.
The Socials’ dynamic stage performance has gripped and impressed audiences in an extensive variety of venues including theatres, halls and bars as well as both indoor and outdoor festivals. Predominantly included in their set are songs of their own composition and a small amount of carefully selected crowd pleasing covers. The Socials have also appeared live on ‘Touch FM’ and ‘BBC Radio Oxford’.
Since forming in early 2006 as an indie/acoustic three-piece The Socials have evolved through 2007 into 2008, emerging as a well established full electric four-piece. As a young band their talent and experience far surpasses their age and are fully committed to achieving major recognition.
“The Socials are a brilliant new up and coming band. Each member is highly talented in their field and excellent to watch! I would advise anyone who hasn’t seen them to go and watch them!” Simon Ward, assistant producer, Dermot O’Leary Show, BBC Radio 2
“Touch Radio is a big supporter of local music and The Socials performing live was one of the highlights of the last 12 months" Dale Collins, Breakfast presenter, Touch Radio Banbury

We're on our lookout for gigs at the moment, from now to the first week of May and from the end of June onwards!
We're currently writing our own set.
As you're fairly local to us, if you have any spare opening or support slots, or if you need a band to support with, please give us a shout! We'll return the favor!
I believe our drummer Tom is good friends with your drummer?
