Hey Fans! November is starting out great! The internet radio show with Notes For Our Troops on Nov.1st was a blast! Thanks to all who tuned in. Those of you who missed it can check out the full show on the podcast player on our myspace page. With Veteran's Day coming up on Nov.11th, we want everyone to remember to support and thank our troops and we would love it if you would share our song, True American Hero, with your friends this month. If you love it, the song is available on itunes and amazon.com. Also, listen to WYNK, 101.5FM on Veteran's Day around 5pm and you just might hear our song!
This is, also, the big month for the Colgate Country Showdown state competition. We will be traveling to Leesville/New Llano for the contest on Saturday, Nov.7th. Check out our showdown page and follow us on the Colgate site. The link is on our myspace and on the website media page. Wish us luck, and pray the LSU beats BAMA earlier that day so that we will be in GREAT SPIRITS!
CJ will be making a trip to Nashville the week of Thanksgiving and the band will be recording more of their original songs this month, so check back. We will be posting the new songs for your listen and comments as soon as they are ready! We love your feedback!
And, mark your calendars for the November Starry Nights in Hammond on Friday, Nov. 20th. The event is from 5-10pm in downtown Hammond. The band will be playing on the outdoor stage at LaCarreta and downtown merchants will be open for early Christmas shopping. We hear that Santa will be bringing snow that night, too. Sounds like a really great family evening! Hope to see you there!
Thanks,
The Solar Heat

The stone........after the throw. The word........after it's said. The occasion......after it's missed. The time.........after it's gone. Knock, Knock… I knocked at heaven's door this morning. God asked me...'My child, what can I do for you?' And I said, 'Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message.' God smiled and answered...'Request granted'. If you believe, send this to seven people and the one who sent it to you. By doing this, you have succeeded in praying for eight people today. 'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
Heh guys...., I took a good listen. dug it. Y'all are on to something there for sure. Keep on with it. Don't get back to the big BR much but if you ever head up Nashville way give me a holler. Love to catch your show. Rock on, Lyman
That is really awesome. It's always great to meet other musicians who are trying to make a difference. Love your sound! You guys should definitely come out to the Relay Saturday and hang out. I'm sure you probably also noticed that we're going to be doing the Rock for Life festival again next year, Memorial Day weekend as long as all goes well. If you're interested in donating a little time to the cause, we could certainly keep you in mind when we start booking bands for that. We're also going to be doing another compilation if you'd be interested in donating a track.
