The Solutions are the band for you!

The band formed in the winter of 2007 to play some of the great songs from the 60’s and 70’s. Based in Leicester, the guys have a wealth of experience from indie band Saint Simon to futurist combo 800 Gram Bloomer; from busking round Europe to single of the week on Radio Nottingham. An ansaphone message from the late John Peel was sadly deleted sometime at the back end of the last millenium but all that's history; what matters is the sound the band create today! And what a sound it is ... Blended originally from a shared love of the Beatles and Stones, The Solutions have spent the last eighteen months honing their hard edged sixties sound, playing weddings, parties, pubs and social clubs. The band feature the close harmonies typical of the era balanced by a tight and driving rhythm section and a twin guitar sound that will rock the most reluctant of revellers. The Solutions are truly more than the sum of its parts but what parts they are -
Phil: tight, taut and muscular drumming that hits the spot,
like Ringo Moon but better looking (that's why we keep him at the back)
Doug: Plays more notes on bass than most bass players have even heard of
but somehow manages to get them in the right order - essential listening.
Ian: a rhythmical guitarist of the highest order
on permanant loan from Freddie and the Dreamers.
Nick: the sweetest harmonies come from
the best dressed Solution with the finest hair in Leicester
Dave: channels the sound of rock n roll through his silken fingertips -
lead guitar to gladden the heart with licks you won't believe - seriously good
Rick: described as a ‘legend’ after a recent gig, the vocal pyrotechnics of Rick Stone
provide the icing on the proverbial rock cake that is The Solutions...
