Like fire and ice, The Somers-Frost Band combines the cool soulful vocals of June Somers with the hot blues guitar of Randy Frost. Veteran musicians delivered from the salty ferment of the Boston/Cape Cod music scene, their new band is an opulent and heady brew of soul, blues, funk and rock-n-roll. Somers sings with a virtuous and lofty voice reminiscent of Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, and Aretha Franklin, while guitarist Randy Frost dishes out crisp spankin’ licks with a master’s precision and taste. Under it all is the foundation of Cliff Letsche on bass and Mark van Bork on drums. Raised in the musical hotbed of western New York(Buffalo/Rochester) this rhythm section has the funk and dirt deep in their blood. They have also anchored some of the best bands on Cape Cod including The Greenheads, The High Kings, Chandler Travis, and The Grab Brothers Band. When this band takes the stage it is all about a good time, so get ready to dance your socks off! Covering the classics from artists Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Bonnie Raitt, Led Zeppelin, Bill Withers, Joss Stone, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Queen, Dianna Ross and more they always hit on your favorites. Let’s dance, drink, and let the good times roll.
