SO YOU THINK YOU CAN SING is a contest being sponsored by the Hendersonville Kiwanis Club, benefiting Hendersonville Community Child Care, along with providing a scholarship for a worthy student attending Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin TN.
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN SING will be holding auditions for the contest beginning July 11th from 9am to 12 noon at Inlight Recording Studio, located at 214 Molly Walton Driver, Hendersonville, TN 37075. There will be a total of four (4) rounds of eliminations from which 12 finalists will be chosen for the finale.
Elimination Rounds will be as follows:
July 11th - 25 semi-finalists will move on to 2nd round to be held on August 15th.
July 18th - 25 semi-finalists will move on to 2nd round to be held on August 15th.
July 25th - 25 semi-finalists will move on to 2nd round to be held on August 15th.
August 1st - 25 semi-finalists will move on to 2nd round to be held on August 15th.
August 6th - This is a make up round which will allow for 2nd chance contestants and/or alternatives in case another contestant drops out.
August 15th - 50 semi-finalists will be chosen from this round to move up to the 3rd elimination round to be held on August 22nd.
August 22nd - 25 semi-finalists will be chosen from this round to move up to the 4th elimination round to be held on August 29th.
Final competition date and location to be announced.
Rules:
This contest is open to contestants ages 17 and older.
Judging will be by music industry professionals including but not limited to music industry professionals including record label executives, touring managers, booking agents, and radio promoters, along with a member of the Hendersonville Kiwanis Club.
Contestants can not be knowingly signed to any recording contract, developmental deal, or production contract when entering this contest.
Contestants and/or their parents-guardians must be willing to adhere to these rules and agree to sign a release form upon registration to the contest.
Registration for this competition is a one time non-refundable tax deductible contribution of $25.00 to the Kiwanis Club.
Winners of each round will be posted on this site, and/or notified by e-mail as applicable.
The Grand Prize Winner will receive a 3 song demo package which will be pitched to major and independent record labels in Nashville.
