The SophistiKittens are: Annette, Midnight, Satin Doll, Moxie, Lucy, Trixie Treat, Chastity, Frisky Fatale, Holliwould, Tabbytha and DandyLion.
Influences
The music of the SophistiCats is a raucous composite of styles, from the bump n’ grind of 50s Las Vegas, the raunchy, red-light sax-driven jazz of old-time New Orleans strip joints, to the early 60s SoCal surf-a-go-go sound. The SophistiKittens sport vintage & handmade finery ranging from mind-blowing mod bikinis to sequin spangled, fringed minis topped off with white Go-Go boots & wild hair wear, as they twist, watusi and shimmy on pedestals to the SophistiCats. Cocktails anyone? Go get on your bad steps, have another round, and shake it with the SophistiCats.
The feline frenzy of far out rhythms that is the SophistiCats was born of the furrtile imaginations of Dez Presley and Miss Meow. They combed the alleys to find hep-cats Pharaoh on guitar, Johnny Nine Lives on drums, and Bugsy Del Marr on tenor sax to complete the vintage vision. This is a show for all the hip cats and slick kitties who appreciate sharkskin, chrome bumpers, vinyl spinning on the Hi-Fi, Leo Fender, a well-built cocktail, spike heels, & bullet bras. We invite you to our party where the skirts are mini and trousers are skinny. Meow!

Este año los estudiantes de Spooky High School, vestidos de frívola etiqueta o ceñido tuxedo, se dirigen a la capital para celebrar el baile de Promoción del 2007 para los alumnos licenciados en invierno.
La música esa noche vendrá de manos de bandas de alumnos, ex alumnos y repetidores con nombres tan jocosos como “Los Motorzombis” o “Los Tiki Phantoms” para que no falte el surf y Rock’n’Roll de ultratumba, porque para tumbas abiertas tendremos a “Eyaculación Post Mortem”, venidos directamente del tanatorio municipal, incluso los mismísimos “Baby Horror” nos traen su banda para dislocarnos el esqueleto, así como el ganador del pasado concurso de imitadores de Elvis Presley celebrado en Barcelona (Oklahoma) por el mismo instituto: “Ray Cadillac”.
