It looks like this ...
some words....
We've played from NYC to Miami and all up in between, with bands like 311, George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars, Cameo, Our Lady Peace, Edwin McCain, Crossfade, The Marvelous 3, Eleven:54, a ton of the Colatown and regional bands.... some of them are on our friend list. Support local music!
"Elder statesmen of the local music scene ... [The Soul Mites] have been mashing up rock, funk, and soul long before anyone called the practice a mash-up."
"The Mites are simply one of those bands you have to hear live to truly appreciate."
-Kevin Oliver, The Free Times (Columbia, SC)
"With time comes refinement. The Soul Mites—one of Columbia's staple rock bands—are using that to their advantage. Together since spending their college days messing around on broken instruments, the rock quartet has been on the S.C. music scene for 13 years. Tim Davis, the lead singer with a deep, raspy voice and entertaining sense of humor, defines their sound as “rock 'n' roll with a funky rhythm.” Influences are like ingredients, he explains, and the band mixes up sounds from Ben Harper, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Beastie Boys. For The Soul Mites, it is all about the honesty of the music. Their songs are written about events the band has experienced themselves, and, as Davis says, “if it's honest, people will relate to it.”
-Anna Miller, Charleston City Paper (Charleston, SC)
"You guys were great! I wish you were a local band."

PS: This album would make a great stocking stuffer ;)
Hi .. just wanted to use this space to promote the MOTOGRATER show at New Brookland Tavern in W.Columbia THIS SAT, Dec. 5. L.i.E. is one of the four regional bands playing in support and want to encourage you to check out this show. Also As Sick As As from Asheville, NC and Decadence and Face Down from Columbia.
Motograter played Ozzfest in 2003, and their song "Suffocate" appeared in the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The show will be $10 at the door (+3 if under 21) and will have a little bit of something for everyone, musicially speaking as well as visually.
