The Soultwisters with Rita Lovely are a five piece boogaloo band, playing a groovy mix of soul, funk, blues and jazzy flavoured party music that can be danced, lead by an incredible sax player Panu ”Saxman” Syrjanen, Rita Lovely on lead voc., Luumu Kaikkonen on guitars, Mikko Vuorela on basses, Leevi Leppanen on drums and percussions. The musicians of The Soultwisters are all wellknown in a finnish music scene, both live and studio. The Soultwisters started playing live in 2005 in Helsinki club scene. The Soultwisters on viiden suomalaisen muusikon muodostama boogaloo-orkesteri. Se on toimiva miksaus soul-, funk-, blues- ja jazzvaikutteista bailumusiikkia. Bändiä johtaa saksofonivirtuoosi Panu ”Saxman” Syrjänen - fonit. Riitta Keränen - laulu, Luumu Kaikkonen – kitarat, Mikko Vuorela – bassot, Leevi Leppänen – rummut ja perkussiot. Kaikki bändin soittajat ovat tunnettuja useista yhteyksistä suomalaisen rytmimusiikin ympyröissä. Bändin vieraina on ollut joukko suomalaisia mustan musiikin huippuosaajia. The Soultwisters aloitti keikkailun Helsingin klubeissa 2005. Bändin ensimmäinen pitkäsoitto "Soup Is Hot" ilmestyi tammikuussa 2009.
