Doug Hudson is a Country Music Artist that has been entertaining audiences since the age of seven. Now at the age of twenty six he has been traveling and thrilling audiences all over the United States. Doug started his musical career in Country Gospel Music as most artist do and then made to change over to Country Music. Producing several Chart Topping Hits such as his number one hit "Let's Put God Back In Our Country" and winning several Music Awards such as Male Vocalist of The Year and Band Of The Year. Doug has recorded on compilation with Johnny Cash, Freddie Hart, Ernie Ashworth and Jack Greene and just to name a few. Doug's unique style is a blend of traditional country with influences from George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Kenny Hinson to Vern Gosdin. Doug has been guest at The Grand Ole Opry twice and has appeared on the cover of SGN Scoops Magazine. Doug is a true entertainer and will bring your audience a great night of Traditional and Outlaw Country Music. Doug has also recently appeared on the national television show "Niteline" on Dove Broadcasting Network. Doug has currently released three Country albums. His frist being "Keepin' It Country" which includes a lot of his favorites from years gone by. The second is a duet album with Mark Ramsey called, "The Tradition Continues.." His most recent album to date is one that was released during the summer of 2008 entititled "Made From Scratch (A Collection of Original Songs)" Doug is very proud of this album and has written every song on it. Doug is currently doing road dates and is steadily working at getting his music available to more and more people.
Lynn Loudermelk plays Drums and provides Harmony Vocals. Lynn is no stranger to the stage and has backed some of Country Music's Greats!! Such as Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Hank Thompson and Jack Greene. Lynn has over 40 plus years in the music business and his signature song is his version of Wipe Out.
Jammie Schoul is the most solid Bass Guitarist you will find. He has his own unique style and has been a great asset to the band. Jammie has the personality that is admired by many. You won't find a more easy going, laid back indvidual. He loves his family very much and has a passion for the music he makes.
Jason Campo is hands down, one of the most talented young guys in the music business today! His influences are clearly heard through his unique style of lead guitar playing and his steel guitar work. Jason is definately a Chickin' Pickin' fool!! Jason plays with The Country Choice Band and sets in with us occassionally.
Jon Richardson is the newest member of Southern Country and is definately no stranger to the Music scene. Surrounded by famous musicians in his family, the talent speaks for itself. Born in California, raised in Mississippi and spending time all over the South. His sound is definately influenced by everything from the Bakersfield sound, Mississippi Delta, and the raw edge of stone cold Country.
