Hitch a ride at SouthSuperHighway with:.. .. Elmer Ona - vocals, guitars.. Ben RIego - guitars, back up vocals.. Vhall Bugtong - bass.. Shinji Tanaka - drums.. .... A catchy name for a band producing catchy tunes -- SLEX is not an entirely new band. Elmer Ona (on vocals and guitars) and Ben Riego (vocals, guitars) were part of bands Happy Project and The RadioFlyers, respectively, originating from the province of Quezon. The duo went to Manila for work and eventually formed SouthSuperHighWay in 2006 together with Vhall Bugtong on bass guitar and Shinji Tanaka (of BOG) on drums..... An assortment of drama, wit and humor is evident in most of SLEX’s songs such as Sa Silid, Luwas and Tampo. SLEX, as fondly called by friends, delivers a radio-friendly set of songs that anybody can somehow relate to. Their songs are catchy, melodic and can be very well recognized as pop rock. The group can be found gigging around the Metro in places like Saguijo, Route196, Club Dredd, Ten02, etc. ....
