Back when I was alive in the late 40's though the mid-60's, before I was killed in Vietnam and then reincarnated as a passive aggressive paradox, I used to go to old-school comedy clubs in NYC. At the time they were actually Jazz clubs that merely allowed comics to get experimental with the open minded "Alternative" Greenwich crowd. This all happened late at night while half the musicians were out back smoking weed, taking a break, and the other half was laughing at our off-the-cuff antics. The ambience was magical!
The Spectacular Show at Gorilla Tango Theater is the first show I've attended since my death and rebirth, that fits my vision of old-school, brick wall, supportive perfection.
Thank you for making this odd life a little more succinct!
