The Speed Bananas from Illingen, Germany are a band which believes that change is good and change is what their history is all about. Founded in summer 2003 Simon (vocals, guitar), Jens (bass) and Daniel M. (drums) started out as a young band playing surf-influenced Punk’n’Roll, fast and enthusiastic but unimpressive. So they decided to enforce the line-up with a second guitar player. Daniel B. entered the band and their songs became more melodic with more focus on guitar. Singer Simon wasn’t able to handle challenging guitar riffs and singing at the same time anymore. In September 2005 Philipp, singer of Pony Farm and Patrick and the Pakistanis entered the band to take off Simon’s burden of being vocalist. Regenerated and filled with enthusiasm they wrote new songs. Exceeding the genre boundaries, they play Punk Rock with Hardcore and Rock 'n' Roll influences which carries away everybody at one of their passionate live shows. In winter 2008 they will finally release their debut album “Better Late Than Never: Tiger Time!”.
