The speed of film is a series of moments coming together to tell a larger story.
I definitely agree about Brand New Color being the catchiest. I've
listened to it a ton of times now. Like Daylight has a really really
good groove, you're right. When I first listened to it, I sat up
straighter in my chair.
Whoa! Yeah, that is unexpected. I'm sorry things turned out that way
for you guys :( Of course I will still love the music. It's way too good not to.
Upon many many listens of the CD, I think Your Deepest Breath, Brand New Color, Deserted Island Top Five and Beg Choose {Rosie's Posies} are my favorite songs. Your Deepest Breath and Brand New Color are tied for the moment, however.
My name finally made it on your page, how exciting! Now on to make the top friends list :), thanks guys, you're too good to me, and I don't mind being the same.
The dates might change, but I'll keep you posted. We'll be in Sanbornton, where my Dad lives. I know we'll be in Manchester at least a few times, for the Barnes and Noble and the comic store, so we'll be sure to see any shows you guys do.
That's good! I told one of my friends who lives near New York about you guys {she listened to your music and thought it was really good}, and when I told her the venue, she was impressed. I hope the show tonight and the one in Portsmouth go well, too.
Yep, I'm from MD. I've been to NH about 4 times now, so I'm semi-familiar with the state. Mostly the Concord-Manchester-Laconia areas. I've been to Campton a few times on vacation, and a few other places around the Lakes region.
:( That's a shame. But, it means that I'll have more time to memorize the songs so I can sing a long with you guys.
Mom and I are planning a trip up there in December for a joint my Dad's birthday/my birthday/early Christmas thing. So, I'm assuming...any time between the 9th and the 14th? I'll keep checking your page so I can try to come to a show :)
Hey Justin I'll be in Balitimore Tommorrow maybe I'll come see u guys play. I won't have a car my Aunt and Uncle will be taking me in for a few days, Maybe they will let me use their vehicle and come see u guys play. Looking forward to it. =)
'Objects in Space' isn't my favorite, but it's slowly growing on me. I also like 'Ariel' and...well pretty much every episode, let's just say that XD All this talk about the show with you makes me want to watch it again, which I need to do since it's been awhile since I've seen it. The bounty hunter was creepy, and I definitely wanted to see more of him. It's a shame Fox screwed the show over so much because it really could have been a huge hit for them. But let's face it, Fox isn't that smart...especially for cancelling 'Arrested Development'.
You're welcome! :) I've already started to remember some of the lyrics. They're really well written songs.
I also really like Sea of Sorrow. And YES. Dirt is the best album. No question. I listened to God Smack, I can't even tell you how many times, in 10th grade, and the album was playing a lot when I was growing up.
I, admittedly, had to look up Dean Deleo, since I haven't heard a lot of STP, except on the radio, which plays the same singles all the time, but I like what I've heard. Haven't heard much Pink Floyd, actually. My parents aren't huge fans of them, though I could tell you oodles of things about KISS, Alice Cooper, The Moody Blues, The Beatles, etc.
I played guitar in 12th grade, but haven't touched it since I graduated...4 years ago now. I really want to pick it back up since I was one of the better players in the class {and one of only 3 girls}, and actually learn more than what they would teach in a class.
Do you have AIM or any other messenger? These comments get longer and longer each time we talk XD
THAT was the best Zoe moment ever in one of the best episodes ever {second only to 'Out of Gas' and 'Jaynestown' for sheer hilarity}. I loved how stunned Niska looked, but I think Wash was more surprised than anyone else, and I honestly couldn't really blame him. Joss has a habit of doing that a lot. He does it with Dr. Horrible, and it always works really well.
Well thank you :) That's always nice to hear.
Ahhh, I see. I'm enjoying the songs on your current album, since I just bought it. Come down closer to me and I'll be glad to see all the shows you play! ;)
Oh, I forgot to ask, what Alice in Chains song is your favorite? We were listening to them on the car on the way to Woodstock on Monday and I was trying to pin down my own fave {which is a toss up between God Smack, We Die Young and Angry Chair}.
Darn right :) You know, I never really noticed that about the men before you pointed it out, but you're right. But I think all those things make them more believable and real as actual characters. The men at least. It took me forever to like River, because I found her kind of annoying, but I grew to like her. I think of all the female characters, Zoe is my favorite, though sometimes I definitely question her almost blinding loyalty to Mal.
One of my favorite things about the show is the dialogue. Whatever else you can say about Whedon {sometimes I don't like his choices, ie; character deaths}, he's got a great sense of humor that translates well into the writing. I've adopted more than a few terms into my own vocabulary {I've been know to say, "mighty fine shindig" on occasion}.
Thanks! I don't know if it's still available online, but you might be able to find it if you do a little digging. One of my favorite Mal-isms is "I swear by my pretty floral bonnet, I will end you."
Since you liked Firefly, have you seen Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog? If you haven't, I strongly recommend it.
I liked the solos in Brand New Color a lot, too. The hooks are pretty sweet. I think the last part of your comment got cut off, though. All I got was "I'm really loving the ne"...
YES! I saw the movie first and didn't like it at first, but I gave the show a chance and LOVED it. I finished it in about two days. Who's your favorite character? I like Wash, Jayne and Mal the best, and so, needless to say, the movie kind of devastated me. I have a shirt that says 'Browncoat' on the front and 'I Aim to Misbehave' on the back :) And if you're a Firefly fan, you are a Browncoat.
I just sent the message with the addresses and websites, so that should give you a good idea of what to expect from the venues.
Aw bummer :( I'll still send you the info of places in the Baltimore/DC area in case the booking gods do decide to bestow one on you down in the area. I like Brand New Color, Tendency to Sink and Beg Rosie's Posies the most.
