MySpace a place for friends

The Spin Room formed in late 2008 when Nick Miley decided to record his first demo with Mike Kalajian (Just Surrender, Ace Enders, The Years Gone By). Soon after receiving the songs he anxiously put them on his Myspace music page and started by adding and answering comments nonstop. Eventually he decided just to get The Spin Room name out there the fastest and most affordable way possible, which was to simply email the tracks out for free. Over the course of several months all 3 demo tracks had broken 100,000 true plays each on Myspace. The Spin Room had amassed about about 28,000 Myspace friends within the first 4 months. Nick has shared the stage with many great bands like Honor Bright, Phone Calls From Home, Patent Pending, and Goot just to name a few. Finally after a year long wait Nick saved enough to record and Independently release a full length record acoustically which was released on iTunes on Sept 8 2009. Nick has made many accomplishments online in the last year. He was charted number 1 for unsigned emo artist for a month. He also held out the most downloads (averaged over 1400 downloads per day) by any artist on Purevolume.com for a weeks straight. His song "Everything Your Want" was the 9th most listened to song on Purevolume for 2 days straight (over 2,000 plays a day). The Spin Room also made it into the top 10 artists on Purevolume without being featured on the front page. The Spin Room's fan base is one of the fastest growing on the Internet. Finally after a year of playing NY and NJ shows and talking to fans all around the world on the Internet, TSR is hitting the road on his first National East Coast Tour this October and November.

Over the past year I have worked hard at trying to keep all my Myspace friends updated. Your loyalty helps keep my dream alive and I try to pay it back by staying in touch on myspace, twitter, and aim. I have even called a couple thousand of my myspace friends already to show you all that you're more than just a number on my myspace page. I promise to keep attempting to make music that makes you smile.
