the spirit dies started off as a simple experiment and as a way of reconnecting to something (someone?)...once the band was named five cd-r albums were worked on and released: "this butterfly has lost her wings", "sorrow before loathing", and the trilogy: "indian ghosts 1978 - 1984", "indian ghosts 1986 - 1995", "indian ghosts complications"...on the self-financed "label" fourteen ten (www.myspace.com/fourteenten)
as cd numbers six and seven were being prepared the spirit dies received wise words from their most important friend...and so, a new direction was taken...the spirit dies moved into a more mysterious/dark/ambient/drone/experimental version of itself...the soundscapes formed are less cluttered; comfort zones are pushed aside...
release six and seven (to have been titled "you" and "me") have been temporarily shelved...so release six "that private, lonely place" is released by electric requiems...release seven "from the bottom of my sadness" is released by idrone park...release eight "book of sorrows" is released by fourteen ten...release nine "in shades of sepia" released by fourteen ten...release ten "what transpires in the flames" - split cd with Edge Effect released by idrone park...more cds are planned...as are a few collaborations/split cds...check blogs and bulletins for release information or general information...or message me if you have any questions...all cd-rs are self-financed...
...the spirit dies is currently working on a series of collaborations with Tim Law - music by both of us will be posted on my player...

Hey Ninah. Been a while since I wrote you. I really appreciate you keeping yourself up to date with all my new stuff. I also appreciate your condolences on my recent loss. Means a lot to my family and I. You must forgive my lack of response as of late. My mind is in a million places, none of which are places they need to be. But I wanted to say thanks and I hope you are well.
And that you shouldn't stop with The Dire Spite, OR allow so many shlubs to spam your profile page with there advertisements! I feel it to be disrespectful.
Anyways, that's just personal preference really. If it doesn't bother you I suppose it works out for everyone.
Hello! New EP "Mice In A Mole" is up. It includes four songs "Senile Boner", "Jedi Dumbass", "Zero Gravity Toilet" and "Sometimes Monkeys Die". Let me know what you think.
Hello. Represent a new album ARX KAELI - Highway. 2009. Cd packed in wooden box with laser engraving, covered a grey varnish. Time 62 min. Best Regards.
Great swathes of sound and very haunting and troubling. I think it captures a general unrest that most are experiencing but do not acknowledge. Great work.
