Spirit of Gravity was launched in 2001 by live art liberationists Tony Rimbaud & Nick Rilke, or Maphead as they are sometimes known. Now a collective of many, it continues at it's current home The Three and Ten in Brighton's charming Kemp Town.
It primarily showcases experimental electronic sounds with the odd acoustic instrument, performance artist and occasional technical hitch thrown in for good measure. Shitmat's first gig, Brian Eno not playing, the electrocreche, Scotch Egg and his megaphone, Hot Roddy and his lovely sitar, all day performances; just some of those unmissable Spirit of Gravity moments.
There are CD's too, and we've worked with the wonderful Wrong Music and those nice people at Instrumentality amongst others.
We're playing this Thursday the 26th with a whole host of other weird and wonderful sonic explorers at the Komedia in the studio bar. If you fancy it...
