The Spit Pit is a group of four emcees, disconnected from the trends of commercialized modern Hip-Hop. Known for their infamous battle-rap techniques and overwhelming egos, The Spit Pit are four artists not to be fucked with.
Founded in early 2008 by Folkestone's finest Krafty Kid, SP is compiled of Krafty, 3sixT, Jackpot & Kasper Black; all of whom share a devoted love for Hip-Hop. Krafty has been at it for 8 years to date making him the most experienced and most accomplished member of the pack. He has released a handful of solo albums as well as two collaborative albums; most notably the recent release 'The Coalition' with co-Spit Pit team mate 3sixT. Krafty is set to start work on 'One Man Show'; a solo album anticipated to reclaim the UK Hip Hop scene in 2009.
Despite being the youngest member of the group at just 16, 3sixT, like his counterpart Krafty, is full of experience. He started out in 2002, writing raps with friends and battling amongst his close peers then finding his feet on the internet and signing up to battle forums gave 3sixT his witty, no-holds-barred style of rhyming. Six also works as a producer and mix engineer with his mixing skills accounted for on his latest release (The Coalition, with Krafty). 3sixT has never released a successful solo record however, 'The Coalition' is more than enough to boast the strengths of The Spit Pit.
But it's not all about Krafty & 3sixT... Amongst the infamous four is Krafty's cousin and close affiliate, Jackpot. Compared to the wealth of experience boasted between Kraft & Six, Jackpot is a virgin to the game having only been a recording artist for just over a year however, this is certainly not noted within his performance behind the mic. JP has seen the bad side of life; he's hit rock bottom and admirably bought himself back up through Hip-Hop. His previous struggle shines through in his deep, real-talk lyrics fueled not only with anger, passion and love but with a wealth of intelligent lines and cut-throat flows. Jackpot's story is somewhat a rags-to-riches tale and this is all accounted for on his upcoming release 'Fighting Demons' due out next year.
Last and certainly not least is the man once dubbed as 'Krafty's Protege', now a fully fledged member of The Spit Pit - Kasper Black. Kay B has been at it a while; battling, writing and performing in open mic contests back in the day. He hooked up with Krafty in 2006 however, the duo never recorded anything until 2008 when Kasper featured on Krafty's 'Take Your Girl' track. Kay B appeared once again on an early Spit Pit recording 'Kings of the Town' featuring previous members Eddie Rath & Sneek, a collaboration on which 3sixT noted Kasper Black as having a "killer flow" and sounding "years ahead of his time". Kasper is working closely alongside Krafty & 3sixT in order to complete his debut album 'Error in Evolution' which, like the rest of the Spit Pit releases is set for a 2009 release.
