The Spokane 70 is a new venture started by the best and brightest of the growing Spokane music scene as a way to jump start dance floors while engaging peoples minds. With an eye on honoring the tradition of Afro Beat and it's main disciple, Fela Kuti, the S70 also bring to the table a vibrant interest in jazz and other kinds of funk music to create an engaging, all original sound. The group has played a handful of shows to rave reviews, including a dynamite set at the famed John's Alley that was graciously recorded by Vertical (Hollywood) Dave.
