A brief history of The Spookies
The Spookies were founded in 2000. Band members Jon-Tyler and Daisy13 met in a disco while concurrently throwing cigarettes at people trying to burn them. In fact, they just decided to form a "rock band with guitars and stuff". They recorded their first demo tapes, starting to be rockstars soon, and beginning to act like ones too. It is safe to say more work was done trying to form an image and turning their private lives into a drug-abusing, chaotic and mindless trip to hell than actually working on their music.
Very soon, all kinds of rumours began to spread, because everywhere Jon and Daisy appeared, they were looked at as some kind of aliens because of their looks and their behaviour, leaving chaos everywhere, and they got literally thrown out every club in town. They began buying equipment, starting off with a multi effects processor, without even knowing what exactly they had bought. All kinds of technics were connected in incomprehensible ways, and they began "recording".
One night a neighbour was calling the police because he saw Daisy standing naked on the top of a big ladder playing guitar and Tyler was hanging out of the window screaming as if he was dying. Several other members joined the band, but all of them left because of the difficult personalities of Jon and Daisy and the various troubles the band constantly attracts.
After recording several tapes of very strange "demos", writing more than 30 songs, more than half of them unlistenable, The Spookies suddenly started to develop a unique style in their music. This happened when Jon moved into a different home, about 100 meters away from where he originally lived. The band frontman moved into a seperate standing kind of "barrack". And this is when things got spooky. Calling Jons new home "scary" is an understatement. When he first got there it was only made up of dirt, dust and spiderwebs, butchers hooks were hanging from the ceiling, there were sinks in every room and garden forks standing around. Later on he found out that indeed this "house" had been a butchery! It took a while until he could move in, making this the new headquarters of The Spookies.
Daisy and Jon finally bought a simple digital 4-Track Studio and continued recording songs. People didnt pay much attention to Jon when he mentioned again and again that something was wrong with the place... Daisy laughed at him when he said to hear footsteps every night behind the thin walls. But not for a long time. One night, during one of their all-night-long recording sessions, Jon-Tyler fell asleep, and Daisy was still awake, and this was the first time he heard the footsteps himself and stopped laughing at Jon. Jon finally decided to place his digital videocamera on the outside, using the infrared function to capture evidence. He was hearing the footsteps again in this night, and the next day, he watched the tape. On the tape, you can clearly hear the footsteps coming towards the camera, but you cant SEE anything, theres no one walking or anybody visible who could have been making the noise. They never found out what was causing it, but they used this and other experiences as an influence for the superstitious aspects which will be found on their first record. It was during this period, when Jon and Daisy wrote some of the best songs by then, and they recorded the main part of what now will be "Triskaidekaphobia" during one night (taking exactly 13 hours to complete!).
For a long time, things did not proceed. The band had to face several problems, all kinds of bad luck, and somehow didnt get started. Although they concentrated on pushing the band forward, they found themselves in a vicious circle. The constant lack of money, resulting in a constant lack of equipment, and the constant trouble with specially the law system was keeping them down. They now had their "image", but still needed to put the record out. Trying to get a company to sign them also failed because most people simply were afraid of being involved into anything this band was doing or getting into lawsuits. Things got worse when both band members nearly had to face a prison sentence! There have been several people and institutions trying to fuck The Spookies, however, some of them had to pay the price.
At the present time, The Spookies have finished working in the studio on their debut album "Triskaidekaphobia", which they produced together with producer Chris Goetzki. The recording sessions went very well. With only two microphones, one mic-stand, and one guitar being broken during the 19 months process. In the words of producer Chris Goetzki: "AC/DC meets Marilyn Manson, NIN, Sisters Of Mercy, having a coffee party. Poisoned coffee, of course."

Unfortunately Daisy13 has left the band out of personal reasons, but J.-Tyler is going on without him recording new material together with producer Mr. Oliver (Chris Goetzki) and steering up some more evil spooky tunes for all the loyal fans out there... and who knows maybe the Daiz will be resurected in the near future again...

Karten gibts im VVK bei Zoff Records (GoBäng) und Hot Shot.. lohnt sich die dort zu kaufen, weil für ne vorgezeigte Karte gibts an dem abend jeweils nen Album für lau dazu. Einfach für Karten nach dem "Blast Attack" fragen!
Statt seiner Freundin befingerte er eine Frau, von der er später nur noch wusste, dass ihre Zehennägel in zwei verschiedenen Farben lackiert waren. Tote waren nicht die, für die er sie hielt. Er wachte in einem Zimmer auf, das nicht seins war, merkte das erst nach Stunden und stand kurz darauf am Flughafen, mit einem um die Lenden gewickelten Handtuch, dessen Herkunft an dem eingestickten Logo ablesbar war: Hilton Hyatt Park Hotel.
