Initially formed in Belgrade as a sideproject of Nick Novakovic (vox,guitars),
the first line-up included
Bane Dragovic(bass),Vladan Rajovic(drums),Aleksandar Povrzan(keyboards) and special guest Clyde Rosencrance(guitars).
The band recorded the "Ambulacral Groove"- E.P in a short-term under bad conditions with an astonishing result!
In L.A...s Muen Magazine LA, where Nick also did an interview) and in Belgrade..s Sound..N..Music magazine the Starfish Prime E.P. got excellent reviews.
Nick had been the leadguitar of KKN(KandaKodzaiNebojsa) for 5 years and participated in the songwriting and production process of two albums ("Prekidi Stvarnosti"2005,
"Deveti Zivot"2008) and one DVD("Prekid Stvarnosti"2008).
Bane and Vladan are still members of KKN.
After a period spent in Los Angeles at Sonic Farm Studios(Downtown) working with Don Grierson and Zoran Todorovic,
he moved to one of the capitols in european and german music,the city of carnival, culture and Krautrock:
Cologne.

In the meantime the band has signed their first record deal with TRM ,
a german independent label from Hamburg ,
that is going to release their first full length album ..the architect wants to know.. march 2010.
StarfishPrime are currently recording material for their first full length, so
