I completed my first batch of songs, Dragging the Weight Around, in 2005. "The Whitest Lie", a track from this 11 song demo, was recently released on Return To The Ruins, an EC Ruins compilation. The track is listed under my name, Mikey Dwyer. Go figure... i began writing and recording Backsliding Baby while recovering from multiple back surgeries. I played all the instruments, and did most of the vocals, but occasionally am backed by the likes of Clay Levertt and Chris Ellenburg. Derek Almstead(Pixel Studios, Of Montreal, Elf Power, etc.) helped me transfer and mix tracks from my 8 track recorder. "Into The Night", a track from Backsliding Baby, was selected for the Athfest 2007 comp. Ghostmeat Records has since agreed to release Backsliding Baby on LP( with a digital download card). So look for it soon.... I finally put together a band which now consists of bassist/vocalist Jamie Coulter(The Help) and long time friend, drummer/vocalist, Dan Orchik(Dictatortots, The Help, etc.)). The band is called THE STARTER KITS(after a very special drink order and, well, the kits that help folks get started). In addition to playing live, we have begun tracking a new album...
