Jul 14 2009 6:37 PM man the station was my second home.. there's no place like it for anyone anywhere. best memories and best of times. it's where i met ronnie winter, craig mabbitt, and moshed my tits off. i am proud to say i almost died there twice, and would give anything to be 21. there's no place for us minors to go and enjoy a good show on a friday night for cheap. best of luck with the new renovations and ideas, but you're losing the majority of your customers since like at least 2/3 of them were under 18, let alone 21.

Do you seriously think people over 21 come to see the band that play here? No. The idea is completely absurd. Reconsider your ideas or you will lose everything you have." First of all, 21+ people DO go see the bands that play there (I'm 26), but I do believe that making one of the few (if the only) all ages venues in the city of Portland restricted to 21+ will only place further strain on the already quickly diminishing music scene. Maine has such talented musicians with all the potential in the world, and with the restriction of 18+ and 21+ placed on venues, it only hinders their ability to get their music heard and to make something of themselves. It's those underage kids that bring the energy to the shows that inspires these bands to continue what they are doing. Think about the scene for once, and the dreams of the people trying to make something out of their music, and not about making a quick buck or two by being able to sell beer to someone who probably shouldn't be drinking anyway (and yes, I drink, but I'd rather spend my money supporting someone attempting to make their dream a reality than get trashed and not remember the night). The end.
