The Station Myth is a quartet of Daniels in New York City. For a full historical account of how four young men named Daniel came together in the densest city in the country click here. The band has recently returned from a 3-week tour of the East Coast in support of their debut, self-titled record. Along the way The Station Myth went bowling and broke some bones but ultimately used their time very wisely and garnered a few new fans. Currently, they're taking a break from playing live. The Daniels are focusing solely on recording what will become the second installment in The Station Myth's catalog.
Critics unanimously agree that The Station Myth’s music is hard to explain. Perhaps the most common assessment of their music is that “you can't quite place a finger on just one genre” (Hybrid Magazine). However a few critics have honed in on the mixture and made some sense of it. One common comment is that The Station Myth sounds like a “veteran band” (Sound as Language). They’ve been compared to “Elbow, Up-era REM, Tears For Fears and Bloc Party” (Binky the Doormat). Thematically, their music touches on some of the darker sides of love, family, and togetherness. “The band seem[s] especially serious. But The Station Myth’s diverting textures and earnest approach command respect” (The Nashville Scene). Although their music proves this to be true, you wouldn’t believe it if you talked to any of the four Daniels. They’re rarely without a joke and a smile. They simply are inspired by some of the more dramatic facets of their lives, as well as the lives of the ones they love.
Complimenting their music perfectly, the design and vision of Micah Whitson at m|sane industries plays an integral role. For example:

The Station Myth will forever be in love with Micah's work, and they will always adhere to the idea that music is an experience that must appeal to the eyes as well.

ive been a fan of yall for maybe about seven months, and on a whim today, i decided to just listen to your cd in its entirety which i had yet to do, due to the advent in the ipod and the fact that mine remains on shuffle, and im currently listening to it having lost count of the repetition,
March 19, 2007 will mark the fourth anniversary of the US-led coalition invasion of Iraq. On this day, people from across the globe will take to the streets in peaceful protest of the illegal and immoral military action being carried out against the wishes of the vast majority of American and global citizens.
The media took notice when hundreds of thousands skipped work and school, and refused to make purchases during the 2006 "Day Without An Immigrant."
How much more will they be forced to notice when millions of concerned American citizens of every age and ethnicity stand together to voice our opposition to the atrocities being perpetuated in the Middle East?
Our "elected" officials - and indeed, the entire world - MUST know that the U.S. government no longer represents the will of the people, and that we oppose war for profit, oil, or hegemony!
Share this group with your friends, and together let's make a strong, peaceful statement on March 19, 2007.
