The Steak House Mints are a band without a past. Hopefully the same can not be said about our future. We are from Chicago. Steve Gillis is the former drummer for Filter and he is the most ass kicking drummer in Chicago. He is also a tough-guy. Vijay Tellis-Nayack is the baby of the band. He plays keyboards and sitar. He is one sentence away having a PhD in rockology. Some would call him a boy genius, but that would be a stretch. Scott Tipping is our guitarist. He's the funny one. He is prone to outbursts. I would say Shawn Sommer plays bass, but that would be a gross understatement. He makes sweet, efficient love to the bass. To tell the truth, I am a little worried his head is going to fall off when he plays. Until that time, he will play with the passion of an Irish clog dancer on "So You Think You Can Dance". My name is Billy Dave, I sing and write this stuff. Thanks for stopping by!

Morning in America, bacon sizzling on a skillet, coffee percolating, a choir of laughing babies, God sneezing, what do you say to God when he sneezes? It sounds like that.

Ah yes, the ancient ritual of the back-hollering! Well good sir, I for one doth feel well-acquainted with said ritualistic reverse-calamity, and am honored to provide it upon this fine occasion. Said bard-battle was quite spirited, and I take much joy in having found thine rawking tunes through its quite well-intentioned if oft-questioned execution :)
Hey Billy Dave!! Great to meet you man, I like your music a lot, definitely hear the Beatles influence in there in great ways, and Gillis is awesome too. Contests are annoying, but as I just told Love in October, I'm happy to get to meet other awesome Chicago bands! :D
Hey Mints! Yeah, it's getting kindof vicious in there. I Definitely dig your song. Thanks for the friendship. Will we see you tomorrow night at the Lasalle event? party party party.
Hey, thanks for finding me here. Was just listening to the CD again this morning and still really enjoying it. Hopefully I'll be able to get something up in the next few days.
I advise everyone to buy a copy of this CD. Excellent value; fresh and undulating, with fine musicianship, quality lyrics and hooks that gently rip the meat off your body.
Hey! Yeah, I hope we can jam sooner than May 31st! If you're not doing anything tomorrow night, I'm playing at Martyr's (3855 N Lincoln) at 7:00pm. Your group sounds great, and that video made me pee. Thanks a lot. :-)
