Influences
“Moon of Hard Times” is musically rooted in Americana. All vocals, guitar and bass are
performed by Steve. He was born in Texas, and we can hear traces of
Steve’s roots in his voice and lyrics. Tom plays wind synth with the
sounds of fiddle, mandolin and accordion meandering through the album,
bringing us closer to the spirit of the land...
Life, love and family.
“Moon of Hard Times” is the Native American name for
the month of January. It is a time when faced with great challenges that we
look within ourselves for the medicine of survival.
Sounds Like
Those folky guys from the next block who stopped to play in your garage last summer. They turned the amps up. Three women started dancing, twirling in circles. Bright golden sun. Somebody was burning cedar. A crow flew by, it winked three times. It was Joe's crow. He said, "Everything will be made new again".
