The Steve Elci Project features Connecticut-based lead singer and bass player, Steve Elci, accompanied by musicians Todd Fake on guitar, and T-Money on drums. The three have played together for various bands for a number of years, and recently formed The Steve Elci Project to take advantage of new and creative music collectively composed and being released.
Inspired by our democratic candidates the song "We Are Heroes" (the first single released from our upcoming CD entitled "Until The Morning Comes"2008) was written by Steve Elci and lyrics are by Robert Cleary. The song was recorded at Spicefighter Studio and Vocals/Mixing was done at ManCave Studio. Mixing/production were done by Dave Tusia. Backing vocals were performed by Neeley Overmoyer, Ben Parent, Nacy Brossard Parent, and Meg Tusia. More songs from the new CD will be posted as they become available.
Members of the band have realized previous success as members of SuperBald, a Connecticut-based alternative rock band that produced the hit, "Submarine Town," (2004) and played a part in the Save The Submarine Base political campaign with Connecticut Governor, M. Jodi Rell, US Senators, Andrea Stillman and Christopher Dodd, and then US Congressman Rob Simmons. As The Steve Elci Project, a song called "Christmas Time" was recorded in 2005 for "The Chimneys of New London" a Connecticut based Christmas CD featuring all local artists. The song "Christmas Time" was entered into the Unisong International Songwriting Contest where it became an Honorable Mention Winner internationally (2005-2006). In 2007 a song was written and recorded for the national PTA called "Every Child One Voice". The song was sold nationally for about three months before the end of the school year 2007.
