Sounds Like
To say that "The Steve Marron Project" sounds like anybody would be a disappointment to them, but when you're producing music it is inevitable that it will happen. The "Project" doesn't set out to have any particular sound or genre. They just do what they feel is right at the time, then just goes with it.
But if they were to be compared to other artists then it would be a compliment to be compared to such bands like Radiohead, Pearl Jam and U2. Our acoustic style may be voiced in the same light as geniuses such as Colin Hay and Tenacious D, but we add our own uniqueness to it all.
"The Steve Marron Project" consists of two song writers that are remnant of a previous group that they were both involved in. Due to constant difficulties with locating and KEEPING drummers Steve Marron decided to go it alone with his faithful companion by his side. The lack of percussion forced the "Project" to write more acoustic based songs which ultimatley led them to producing (in their opinion) their best work to date. The project is due back to rock some more when percussion (that's drums to you and me) and bass meet the might that is Steve Marron. Please feel free to leave us a comment as we really appreciate what people have to say, if it's a bad one we'll just track you down and burn your house to the ground :) CDs of the EP and 'The Greatest Man" single are available on request, so go on then....get requesting. The full band now go under the name 'Gods' Own Prototype', but have no fear as the Steve Marron Project is still going and will primarily focus on acoustic songs.
