About The Stiff Wires

As of Monday June 22nd 2009 The Stiff Wires will be hitting the studio to record some new songs that are long overdue. You may have also noticed that The Stiff Wires are currently showing here as unsigned. In fact this is now true as we asked for and were granted a release from Synicalist Records and the final release agreements were signed on Saturday June 20th 2009. Unfortunately this does mean that a planned release of a 7" vinyl recording in July will in fact not take place as originally planned. However you'll be happy to know that The Stiff Wires are prepared to take to the Studio starting around November 2009 to start recording songs for a full length release sometime next year. If possible The Stiff Wires will release a CD through a label if that opportunity presents itself again, or if need be through and independent label of our own design. One way or another a release of a full length CD will take place sometime in 2010 as we already have a multitude of songs to draw from and are on a continuous writing frenzy as we speak. Also look out for better live performances and a new look and updated sound from The Stiff Wires as our manager has been working very hard to help develop our image and attitude all for the best we might add. With a new sense of direction and a new philosophy based on commitment and hard work while creating a new focus and desire for the music we love our manager has instilled in us a feeling of purpose and focus never before seen by this band, and it is only going to improve. Great things are starting to happen for us right now and we are overjoyed and excited about all of our new prospects and possibilities as we move towards our collective goal to achieve our place in Rock and Roll. We are planning an all out assault on the Niagara Region and Golden Horseshoe areas of Ontario come September. We are currently trying to finalize an eastern tour starting in July, and we are making moves to get our music and performances in front of the right people in the music industry that can help guide and direct our careers further. So look for a new and exciting Stiff Wire band in our upcoming shows, and if you haven't seen us yet then make sure you don't miss us!
