The Stone Coyotes are a bare-bones rock family trio.
They have been taking the road less travelled ever since they gave back songwriter Barbara Keith's major label advance years ago and began searching for their own sound their own way in a cellar in Western MA.
With five songs featured in Elmore Leonard's novel, "Be Cool", they gained national attention, but it is the grass roots, word-of-mouth response to their music that continues their momentum.
Their music gets a lot of play on XM Satellite Radio (XCountry and Deep Tracks), and they tour through MA, NY, PA, OH and TX several times a year. The band's new album, VIII, is their eighth studio release. Available now at stonecoyotes.com through Paypal or from CDBaby.com. Also available on Amazon, ITunes, Rhapsody, Napster and others.

I was watching the premier episode of the new season of DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER last night , and right when they are about to catch the fugitive, your music starts jammin, no mention on their web site today. Still very cool I loved it!
Hey , Stone Coyotes, Where U @? Luv ur Musik. Keep On Rawking in the free world!, I know its a cNeil & Crazy Horse song, but just saw drive By truckers & Dexateens play it, so i no you can Raaaawk it!
"VIII" rocks! I love the ballads and - as always - I REALLY enjoy the crankin' rock! My favorite of late that I've been playing on the air? "All For Angelina." Thanks for the rock! Cap'n Barney WMHB 89.7 FM www. wmhb. org
The weather here is great. Everything is blooming and we're going to be close to 80 degrees tomorrow. I'm line-editing right now and the allergies are about the only thing that could keep me inside and working. A blessing? maybe.
Hopefully, everything will explode into bloom, fade and I can get back to feeling normal.
last month we hosted the release of my new book, Portraits: Invisible Ink on Parchment, at beyond baroque in venice. it was a lot of fun and i wish you guys could have been there!
Great Show! San Antonio at The Cove was terrific. Welcome back to Texas. Lots of new stuff, some of the past stuff. Barbara's voice was never better. Looking forward to the gig in Lagrange at the Bugle Boy, my new favorite venue. Real Fans will make this trip...See ya then.

Last month I bought 7 Stone Coyotes cd's for $72, shipping and all. Wow! What a deal! I thought the fight would be on when my wife found out I bought 7 cd's from the same band, but unlike most of my music, she LOVED the Stone Coyotes. Thanks for not sticking it to us on the sticker price for your Raw, Rocking sounds. You truly have a handle on what TRUE Rock & Roll should sound like.
What a GREAT band....!! I have five of your albums now. Been a Steppenwolf fan all my life, but with them retiring......The Stone Coyotes are now my fav band. Anyone that would like to add me, please do. Just include "Stone Coyotes fan" in the subject line. Thanks. Rock on.
The TX Dates are looking great and hope you can add a few more. I might get lucky and see you twice this time around. Thanks so much for making this long haul down here, though I'm sure it's a welcome thaw....Tell Doug to be patient on the road, there are no performance awards for early arrival :-)
The Best Band in the Land. I've played every STONE COYOTES album on my radio show since 1999 ("The Church of the Falling Rain"). The best rock and roll there is, bar none.
Just wanted to say thanks for the music and the great feelings/vibes, and I can't wait for the new music!!
