The Stonecult's story began in the rocky hills near Allentown, Pennsylvania, late in the summer of 2006. Already veterans of their respective scenes, the band's members joined forces to form what is known as The Stonecult.
The Stonecult's music is guitar driven rock, a la Shinedown meets Stone Temple Pilots with some Foo Fighters and Alice In Chains thrown in. Mixing traditional rock n' roll with hints of metal, blues and funk, The Stonecult's songs contain tons of raw energy yet musically tight with a commanding frontman and layers of clever guitars.
Quickly setting up shop in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, The Stonecult has opened for such national acts as Blind Melon, Days of the New, Warrant, Winger, Nazareth and Cracker. In addition, The Stonecult plays such venues as The Trocadero Theatre and Dr. Watson's Pub in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Crocodile Rock Cafe' in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The Stonecult has airplay on local radio stations and has been featured in regional newspapers.
