This five-piece progressive-folk-rock band brings the past, present and future into perspective. The Stoneflys are an exciting group of passionate, fun and generous personalities. The band spawned from the musings of singer-songwriter Frank Veraldi. Inspired by the likes of Neil Young, Dave Matthews and The Lord of the Rings, Frank began writing powerful and emotional lyrics and chord progressions.
The beautiful and intense sound of Cathy Starr's violin compliment the evolving bass lines of Jack Burr and Justin Marsh’s powerful drums. Patrick Caputo contributes his signature guitar sound to complete the musical package. With roots firmly planted in northern Illinois, the Stoneflys have been making music that all ages find engaging with elements of folk, rock, classical, jam, jazz and (shhhh) even a touch of disco from time to time.
