THE STONERS are a Roman Rolling Stones Tribute Band, founded in 2002 by Ugo Moretti (from Rome - Italy) and led by the Italian-American singer Domenico Scola (from Haddon Heights, New Jersey) WHY: Because the music of the last 45 years divides into 2 genealogical trees: on one side a group from Liverpool, the other side originated by the ROLLING STONES, from which other groups and music genres evolved, making history, including the history of Rock’n’Roll. HOW: With their hard-headedness, passion and respect for those bastards that were just teen-agers when they began this adventure in 1962. WHO: The present formation of THE STONERS is the classic one: 2 guitars, bass, drums and vocalist. Keyboard and saxophone, moreover, are in most of their songs.
