Fiori bianchi dal calice a campanula, sono avvizziti di giorno e si aprono soltanto di notte emanando un odore intenso. Lo stramonio è chiamato anche erba del diavolo o erba della strega perchè fu adottato dalle streghe e negromanti per provocare, grazie ai suoi poteri allucinogeni, visioni e incubi.
Si diceva che gli esseri infernali si cibassero di Stramonio il cui effetto li incantava e l inebriava.

(A coloro che inghiottono i fiori, la Datura distrugge il cervello e la mente, e porta fuori di senno i miseri che la mangiano)
Gli Stramonium nascono dalle ceneri di due gruppi: i Led Zeppelin (prima esperienza musicale per il bassista Ghido e per il batterista Vezz) e i Deep Purple (gruppo fondato dai due chitarristi, Fabio e Thomas). Ritrovatisi ad un certo punto senza bassista,
i Deep Purple si rivolgono al Ghido, in quel momento esente da impegni con i Led Zepp, la cui continuità non era la caratteristica principe. I Deep Purple vivono da questo momento un periodo turbolento, con continui cambi di formazione, che sfociano con lo spostamento di Fabio al citofono e anche a prima voce del gruppo, il quale prende il nome di "Fabio e i belli dentro" da qui in avanti. Nel mentre, Vezz si dedica ad un progetto parallelo ai Led Zepp, I Chinese Junk Food. Nel 2005, decisi a dare una svolta al proprio sound, i "Fabio e i belli dentro" si mettono alla ricerca di un batterista che sappia suonare sul serio, e il Ghido fa il nome del Vezz, che nel frattempo per cause di forza maggiore (una fastidiosissima unghia incarnita) era stato costretto ad abbandonare la batteria per più di un anno. Nonostante ciò il drummer riprende velocemente confidenza con bacchette e rullante e viene preso in pianta stabile nel gruppo. Sistemato il reparto ritmico, quel manipolo di scansafatiche si mettono alla ricerca di qualcosa che permetta di esprimersi meglio dal punto di vista melodico; nella primavera del 2006 Fabio torna al ruolo di primo chitarrista nonche flauto traverso e Gabri viene ingaggiato come cantante e clavincembalo. I "Fabio e i belli dentro" diventano ufficialmente gli Stramonium.
Il gruppo è un meltin pot di generi e stili che si miscelano e si uniscono per poter dar vita a delle composizioni che abbracciano il rock a 360°, riflettendo i differenti backgroud musicali di ognuno dei componenti. Dall' attitudine punk-rock del batterista, all'amore dell' hard rock dei chitarristi passando per le ritmiche funky tanto care al bassista, gli Stramonium rappresentano una tale fusione di stili che nemmeno loro sanno come definirsi, se non semplicemente "Ma che cazzo stiamo suonando??"!
Stramonium's Story
The Stramonium is born from ashes of two groups: the Wayout (the very first musical experience for the bass player Ghido and the drummer Vezz) and 8-Team (group founded from two guitar players, Fabio and Thomas). To a sure point, without a bass player, 8-Team call Ghido, in that moment free from engagements with the Wayout, whose continuity was not the main character. 8-Team lives from this moment a turbulent period, with continuous changes of formation, that result into the movement of Fabio to first voice of the group, which it takes the name of Moto Perpetuo from here in ahead. Meanwhile, Vezz played for the Chinese Junk Food, a parallel project of Wayout.
In 2005, decided to change sound, the Perpetual Motion is put to the search of a more concrete drummer, and Ghido makes the name of Vezz, than, in the meantime, for causes of act of God, it had been forced to abandon the drum more in order than a year.
Although that the drummer fastly resumes confidence with sticks and snare and comes taken in stable plant into the group. Arranged the rhythmic unit, in the spring of the 2006 Fabio returns to the role of first guitar player and Gabri comes engaged like singer.
Moto Perpetuo officially becomes the Stramonium. The group is a meltin pot of kinds and styles, reflecting the different musical backgroud of everyone of the members. From the punk-rock attitude of the drummer, to the love of hard rock of the guitar players, passing for the funky rhythmic beloveds from the bass player, the Stramonium represents a such fusion of styles that they do not know like defining themselves, if not simply "What the hell are we doing?"!
