Olympus and Mulholland Dr.........We will let the bitter old farmers of the self-proclaimed 'heartlands' snicker at us and our pagan lust, for they are the uninitiated who toil through sad, grey lives for the thin promise of some awaiting paradise for the pedantic while we bask in the mighty sun of adventure: our sacred land has given birth to the immortals and the thousand fold poets. We are the knowers of secrets, the singers of the all-encompassing song: we have peered behind the purple veil of evening and the infinite mystery, we Californians.
